Maximizing your YouTube Channel

tvDid you know that YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world?  Only Google gets searched more often than YouTube.

People LOVE videos! It’s an important platform for getting your message out there. If you’ve started creating videos, you’ve most likely spent a lot of time uploading them and posting them on your website and on your social media. That’s great!!!

But how much time have you spent on your actual YouTube channel?  Are your videos just thrown up there, all mixed together even if they are about different aspects of your camp?  Have you thought about organizing them into playlists to make it easier for your viewers to find the videos they’re looking for?

You might think sorting through all your videos and creating playlists is a long, complicated process, but it’s actually done in 3 easy steps:

  1. Log in to YouTube and click into your Video Manager..
  2. Select the videos you want to add.
  3. Click Add and select the Playlist you want to add the videos to (or click ‘create new playlist’)

The benefits go far beyond simply organizing your videos.  Playlists show up in searches just like videos and even in Suggested Viewings, so name your playlists using words that potential customers might search for or find interesting. Once created, playlists can be edited, deleted, or even shared.

This might be the easiest-to-complete marketing task you’ve done all week!
